Welding Baltimore is a fabrication process, which involves joining metallic parts together using a molten material. The soldering material is then allowed to cool to make the joint strong. This method of joining metallic materials has gained popularity due to its efficiency and the fact that it is very economical. Welding comes in different types, which are discussed below.

Stick type is the first method also commonly referred to as Shield metal Arc Welding (SMAW). People derive the slang name from the resemblance of the rod to a stick. The procedure depends on power to come up with an arc. This arc is then used to burn an electrode or a rod, which is mandatory equipment in the process. A rod is metallic by nature but has an external flux coating to keep air off the site to be welded as the rod burns.

This process is relatively popular due to the fact that it is practical and simple. It is also considered cheap and gives a good out come with various metals that requires joining regardless of their thickness. Given these attributes, it is perceived the most appropriate especially for industrial construction needs. In many training institutions, this method is the gateway to other methods which are taught.

The other type is metal inert gas, which is abbreviated as MIG. This process is considered as one of the easiest types to learn. It also uses an arc. A wire is fed to the joint and welded; it is normally connected to a source of power to produce an arc. This makes it melt once it come into contact with the metals to be weld.

An equipment called an MIG gun is required to combine the shielding gases, the wire and the electricity all at the same time. The said gun is equipped with a trigger which upon squeezing, the process is commenced. This procedure is mostly exploited in factory set-ups given their need for mass production. This is an easy process though a professional must be involved to establish the required settings for the equipment.

TIG is another type of process which is an abbreviation for Tungsten Inert Gas. It also uses an arc to weld. It is considered one of the most complicated processes to train. It is versatile because all the conventional metals can be welded using this process. In this process you require both your hands to effectively weld the joint. One hand will hold the torch which has the tungsten rod used to produce the arc and heat while the other one feeds the electrode.

To create an arc in this process, you need a constant current. A filler metal, which is normally in form of a wire is added on the joint. This process produces high quality product. However, this process requires high technology. In addition, equipment used in this process is very expensive besides the fact that it is quite complicated to set up. It comes with a remote amperage foot pedal that argon gas cylinder to work.

The last in the list is gas which is according to many people the ancient method of welding Baltimore. This process mostly uses oxygen and acetylene gases. The heat used is usually generated from a flame that emanates from a burning gas. It is recommended for automobile because of its versatility and the fact that it is portable.
